Diesel Engines & Fuel Systems
It is 48 years since Alan Asmus and Stan Gough published the first edition of Diesel Engines and Fuel Systems (DEFS) in Bundaberg Australia.
The timeline shows the evolution of the DEFS textbook over the last four decades. Today DEFS is a trusted name in diesel engine training, providing a full scope of resources for training intuitions and students ensuring they remain at the forefront of continual developments in diesel engine technology.
Our latest training product is the 6th edition of the DEFS hard copy textbook which builds on the already solid foundation of the 5th edition to bring readers up to date with the latest in electronic engine and emission controls along with more in-depth information on how to diagnose these systems.
Alternatively we provide a training product which focuses on providing a complete training solution to address the knowledge and assessment requirements for nine engine related competencies in the Automotive AUR 16 training qualifications. Designed with both the teacher and student in mind the training material features a full teacher solution including learner guides and assessment questions. After 17 months of research and development the project is now complete with the release of DEFS AUR 16 Training and Assessment Package.
Welcome to the new and ongoing journey with DEFS, from the original concept of Alan Asmus 48 years ago into the electronic age of technical training in diesel engine technology.
